The Missing Person’s Unit (MPU) on FOX’s “Alert” faces a ticking clock this Tuesday. In “Carmen,” the team stumbles upon a kidnapping case with international implications when they learn a customs broker is actually an undercover FBI informant. The stakes rise when they discover she’s being coerced into transporting a young girl across the border to her father, a known criminal.
Jason Grant, never one to play by the book, disregards FBI orders and goes undercover with Lt. Gabrielle Bennett (Megalyn Echikunwoke) to rescue both the informant and the child. Meanwhile, Mike and Jason work the case from another angle and find a tablet at the child’s previous location that could reveal crucial details of their plan.
“Carmen” is helmed by director John Showalter and written by Jeffery Paul King. As the MPU races against time, the episode also weaves in the ongoing personal storyline of Jason and Nikki’s search for their son. Can they save the informant and the girl before it’s too late?
