This Tuesday’s “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” tackles a difficult case ripped from the headlines, blending a military kidnapping with issues of sexual harassment and a dangerous weapons trade. “Sophie” sees the return of Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Chief Inspector Bill Houston, whose personal and professional lives collide when the wife of his old Army buddy, an Army Lieutenant, is kidnapped after reporting sexual harassment on base.
The MPU immediately suspects a Major whom the victim reported, but as Jason and Mike dig deeper, they uncover marital and financial problems that lead them down a surprising path involving a deadly weapons trade. With a young woman’s life hanging in the balance, the pressure is on to untangle the web of deceit before it’s too late.
