The Hustle of @617MikeBiv (ALLBLK Feature Film) – New Film Premiere Thursday, August 24

The Hustle of @617MikeBiv tells the story of Michael L. Bivins. A young man from the Orchard Park Projects in Roxbury who hoped to make it as a professional basketball player but was instead recruited by the legendary rap group New Edition because of his skills on the court. The film depicts how his determination to succeed ultimately determined his fate. His vision and drive have had a profound impact on the musical and aesthetic direction of New Edition and Bell, Biv, DeVoe.

Toya & Reginae (WE tv on ALLBLK) – New Series Premiere Monday, August 28

The series chronicles the lives of Toya Johnson-Rushing and Reginae Carter, arguably Atlanta’s most influential mother-daughter duo, over the course of six hour-long episodes. The influential couple is used to the limelight, as evidenced by the constant analysis of their every social media move by the web’s most popular websites. Viewers will get an inside look at the cast members, learning about their personal lives, romantic relationships, and how they manage their hectic work schedules without sacrificing either. In spite of their positive social media personas, they are actually dealing with a complex family dynamic that makes their lives anything but predictable and calm.
