As the Skeldale House family rallies around Mrs. Hall, an abandoned fox cub, discovered by a young boy, becomes a focal point. The vulnerable creature seems to offer a flicker of hope and connection for the grieving housekeeper, although Siegfried must also wrestle with the complicated realities of caring for a wild animal.
Meanwhile, Tristan finds himself on a rather unusual mission for the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, involving pigeons and a character named Enoch Sykes. And amid the animal antics and emotional turmoil, Helen tackles some family disagreements as she prepares for Jimmy’s party. It’s a full house at Skeldale, as always.
