Alma’s Not Normal Returns 7 October with Series 2 on BBC Two and iPlayer

Alma's Not Normal Returns for Series 2 on BBC This Autumn

Alma’s Not Normal is set to make its return on 7 October, 2024, on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. Created, written by, and starring Sophie Willan, the show follows Bolton native Alma Nuthall, a free-spirited woman tackling life alongside her eccentric family. The series has gained significant attention for its sharp humour and raw portrayal of working-class life, earning widespread praise since its debut.

Series 2 will continue the story of Alma and her dysfunctional family, bringing back the witty, unconventional dynamics that won over audiences in the first season. Willan, who also serves as Executive Producer, first developed the series in 2018 after receiving the BBC’s Caroline Aherne Bursary Award.

International distribution will be handled by BBC Studios, with series 1 available on BBC iPlayer, Britbox Nordic, Australia, and CBC Gem in Canada.
