Rob Rinder and Monica Galetti embark on a journey to one of the world’s most unique hotels, the Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland, in the season six premiere of Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby.
Known as the world’s first “earthscraper” hotel, this architectural marvel is built into the side of a quarry. Rinder and Galetti dive into the innovative challenges of constructing such a hotel.
The pair get stuck into a variety of tasks during their stay, from preparing dinner for the hotel’s 3000 aquarium fish to assisting with a young girl’s fourth birthday party celebrations. They also lend a hand with the hotel’s impressive evening light show, testing drones, and serving guests at an exclusive private dinner.
