“The Amazing Race” continues its globe-trotting adventure this Wednesday with a stop in Naples, Italy, the birthplace of pizza. In “The Pizza de Résistance,” teams face a culinary challenge that goes beyond simply eating – they have to make the perfect pizza.
This leg of the race tests the teams’ ability to master a local tradition, from dough-tossing to topping selection and proper baking techniques. Expect some flour-flinging, sauce-splattering chaos as the racers try to impress the local pizzaiolos (pizza makers). Will they rise to the occasion or get burned by the pressure? The heat will definitely be on, in and out of the pizza oven.
