The Amazing Race isn’t content with a mere dozen contestants anymore. CBS’s venerable reality competition is going big for Season 37, cramming a whopping 14 teams into its starting gate. Will this lead to more compelling competition or just a logistical nightmare of airport check-ins and lost luggage?
The new season, kicking off Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 9:30 PM ET/PT, is being touted by executive producers as the “season of surprises.” And while the addition of two extra teams certainly qualifies, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. This year’s route spans the globe, from the bullet trains of Osaka and the glittering skyscrapers of Dubai to the folk dances of Bulgaria and the charming streets of Strasbourg.
Returning host Phil Keoghan will once again shepherd these intrepid travelers through a gauntlet of challenges, which will likely involve some combination of awkward cultural exchanges, questionable culinary choices, and the inevitable bickering that arises when sleep-deprived individuals are forced to navigate unfamiliar territories under intense pressure.
The $1 million grand prize remains the ultimate carrot, dangling before teams representing a diverse mix of relationships: married couples clinging to their sanity, siblings reigniting old rivalries, parent-child duos testing the limits of familial bonds, and friends discovering the true meaning of “frenemies.”
So, who are these brave souls embarking on this potentially glorious, potentially disastrous adventure? The teams for The Amazing Race Season 37 are:
