AMC Networks has revealed that a new true-crime documentary series, The Tailor of Sin City, will debut on SundanceTV and streaming platforms AMC+ and Sundance Now on Thursday, 12 September, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays across all platforms.
Produced by Anchor Entertainment, the four-part series delves into the story of AJ Pratt, a 1970s fashion icon from a small town who found himself at the intersection of the Mob, the Colombian cartel, the FBI, and a web of seven wives.
Set in the glittering underworld of 1970s Las Vegas, The Tailor of Sin City chronicles the rise and fall of Pratt, who leveraged his tailoring skills to ascend to the position of the city’s self-proclaimed “Cocaine King.” With connections to both the Mob and Pablo Escobar, Pratt’s larger-than-life journey is told through archival interviews with Pratt himself and accounts from those closest to him.
The series, directed by David Jung and executive produced by Ethan Goldman, Keayr Braxton, and Jung, is based on the book The Tailor: How I Dressed Elvis, Escobar, the Mob…and Became the Las Vegas King of Cocaine, co-authored by Sal Manna and AJ Pratt.
