AMC Networks is set to transform into a winter wonderland this holiday season with its “Best Christmas Ever” programming event. From Thursday, November 30, through Tuesday, December 26, viewers can enjoy a festive mix of classic movies, exclusive premieres, and themed marathons across AMC and AMC+.
Nostalgia takes center stage with anniversaries of beloved holiday films. Fans can revisit the Griswold family’s chaotic Christmas in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” celebrating its 35th anniversary. The 20th anniversaries of “Christmas with the Kranks” and “The Polar Express” also promise heartwarming viewings.
AMC+ subscribers will have access to exclusive premieres, including “Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point,” a new holiday feature starring Michael Cera, Sawyer Spielberg, and Francesca Scorsese.
The streaming service will also offer themed Yule Logs for fans of “The Walking Dead” and “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” both debuting on December 1. Shudder, AMC Network’s horror streaming service, will premiere “A Creature Was Stirring,” starring Chrissy Metz, on December 1.
Joe Bob Briggs returns with “Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage,” airing live on Shudder TV and AMC+ TV on Friday, December 13, and available on demand starting December 15.
Acorn TV subscribers can look forward to a Christmas-themed episode of “The Chelsea Detective,” premiering December 16.
Throughout the holiday season, AMC will host themed movie marathons, featuring ’80s classics, John Candy comedies, and family favorites. Specific marathon dates and titles can be found on AMC’s online schedule.
Adding to the festivities, AMC Networks has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery for the “Best Christmas Ever: Polar Express Sweepstakes.” The grand prize is a trip to the Grand Canyon for a “Polar Express Train Ride Experience.” Daily winners will receive collectible Polar Express Lionel train sets.
