Hayley Smith, resident activist and frequent flyer of questionable decision-making on American Dad!, finds her maturity under scrutiny in the upcoming episode “An Adult Woman.” It’s a premise as ridiculous as it is perfectly suited to the animated sitcom’s twisted sensibility.
Apparently, Hayley’s attempt to rescue a hamster goes sideways, with a representative from the Hamster Rescue Society labeling her a “big child.” This indignity, naturally, sends Hayley spiraling into an existential crisis, because who among us hasn’t had their adulthood questioned by a rodent enthusiast?
In a move that surprises absolutely no one familiar with American Dad!, Hayley’s quest for validation leads her straight to Roger, the family’s resident alien and master of disguise. But not just any Roger. This time, Hayley gets tangled up with two of Roger’s personas, each with their own baggage. So, expect the usual dose of Roger-fueled chaos, potentially squared.
