American Idol Song Choices for Disney Night, Sunday on ABC

The top five contestants on American Idol season 22 showcased their talent during Disney Night, performing a mix of iconic Disney songs and tunes from Disney-owned films.

The episode features a diverse range of performances connected to the Disney brand. Contestants put their own spin on classic and contemporary Disney songs, as well as tunes featured in Disney-owned films.

Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper, and Will Moseley each took on two songs. Carter impressed with “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid and “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac from Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Russell delivered a heartfelt performance of “Carried Me with You” from Onward and “The Climb” from Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Blocker’s choices were “Nobody’s Fool” from Cars 2 and David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Harper showcased their range with “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog and “Life is a Highway” from Cars. Moseley rocked out with “The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy” by Chris Stapleton from Toy Story 4 and “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf from D3: The Mighty Ducks.

Fan favorites Emmy Russell and Jack Blocker, who previously performed a duet, continue to impress judges and viewers. Russell, the granddaughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn, has wowed with original songs and covers from artists like Blink-182 and Adele. Blocker, initially rejected by judges, was given a second chance and has since delivered memorable performances, including a cover of a Willie Nelson song.
