America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation Season 2: Trailer Out Now, Competition Heats Up!

Prime Video has released the official trailer for Season 2 of America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation, the cooking competition hosted by Jeannie Mai. All ten episodes will be available on April 1, 2025.

Here’s the Lowdown: Eleven chefs, from home cooks to professionals, will compete for a place on the America’s Test Kitchen team, a cookbook contract, and $100,000. Mai and head judge Dan Souza are back to mentor the contestants through different culinary tests. The contestants this year are Lauren Windham, Saori O’Reilly, Ashley Gibson, Annabelle Finefrock, Nikita Leone, Justine Ma, Colin Bracken, Alex Heugel, Dennis Jackson, David Welch and Kyle Lopez.

What This Means Now: The new season increases the competition with more focus on media-focused challenges and new skill-building exercises. There’s also a look into the contestants’ thoughts and feelings as they wait for the judges’ decisions. The top five contestants will even go on a trip away from the main location to learn a new set of cooking skills.

The Bigger Picture: The show welcomes back familiar ATK cast members like Lan Lam, Julia Collin Davison, and Jack Bishop, along with Season 1 winner Antoinette Johnson. Celebrity guest judges, including Bryan Ford, Pati Jinich, and Joe Sasto, will also be featured. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
