History’s “Ancient Aliens” has never been shy about venturing into the speculative. In “Alien Messengers,” airing Monday, January 6, 2024, the series doubles down, questioning whether pivotal historical figures and scientific breakthroughs were nudged along by otherworldly visitors.
The episode revisits some of the show’s favorite touchstones, looking back at fifteen years of exploring the Ancient Astronaut Theory. But “Alien Messengers” also introduces a fresh perspective, focusing on specific individuals who claimed to receive knowledge or guidance from mysterious sources. Joan of Arc, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla – all revolutionary in their own right – come under scrutiny. Did they truly tap into an unseen realm of cosmic wisdom, or were they merely touched by genius, madness, or both?
The usual suspects, Giorgio Tsoukalos, David Childress, William Henry, and Jason Martell, are back to offer their interpretations, no doubt leaning heavily towards extraterrestrial explanations.
