Get ready for some truly wild speculation.
From a 500-ton rock (allegedly) representing an ancient UFO to giant statues purportedly crafted with advanced technology beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, this episode will traverse the globe in search of answers. Or, at least, in search of more questions. We’ll encounter ornate pillars that supposedly depict otherworldly beings and ponder the true purpose of these towering stones. Were they messages from extraterrestrial visitors? Markers for interdimensional portals? Or just really, really big rocks that ancient humans happened to stumble upon?
Don’t expect much in the way of concrete evidence, but do expect a healthy dose of pseudo-science, dramatic reenactments, and Giorgio Tsoukalos’ signature blend of wonder and certainty. Because on “Ancient Aliens,” the truth is always out there, conveniently obscured by millennia of mystery. But hey, at least the monoliths look cool.
