In the third episode of the new season of Animal Park, the focus turns to the park’s elderly lions, Klaus and Simba, and the potential threats they face from within their pride. With age catching up to them, some of the females sense weakness and are becoming more dominant, which could spell trouble. The episode also introduces us to Zuri, a weaker female lion who is being targeted by the more dominant members of the group. The situation is precarious, as being driven out of the pride could prove dangerous for Zuri.
Caleb, one of the keepers, has a long-term plan to retire Klaus and Simba so they can live out their days peacefully. But before that, he hopes to utilise their presence as leaders to re-integrate Zuri and prevent a potential life-threatening situation for her.
Meanwhile, Megan McCubbin shifts her attention from exotic species to native ones. She joins the park’s conservationist, who is dedicated to encouraging the return of the pine marten, a fascinating creature, to the estate. It’s a journey that will uncover the dedicated efforts of those working to restore balance and ensure the survival of native species.
