A+E Networks is expanding its culinary lineup with “Instant Italian,” a new series starring chef, cookbook author, and culinary influencer Anna Francese Gass. The show, a product of A+E Networks’ ongoing collaboration with Rachael Ray’s Free Food Studios, will premiere on FYI with back-to-back episodes on Monday, March 10, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. It’s part of A+E Networks’ Home.Made.Nation lifestyle programming.
“Instant Italian” features Gass presenting streamlined versions of classic Italian recipes. Gass shared her enthusiasm, saying, “The tips and techniques I developed to simplify my cherished Italian recipes will make it effortless for anyone to bring a delicious and authentic Italian dinner to the table.” Each 30-minute episode focuses on updating traditional dishes for contemporary home cooks, making them quicker and more accessible.
Drawing from her childhood experiences in Calabria, Gass is celebrated for her innovative approaches to familiar fare. Examples include transforming pasta into a snackable fried version using an air fryer, creating an easy sheet-pan chicken cacciatore, and offering unique dessert variations like affogato mug cake and cannoli icebox cake. Gass maintains the authentic flavors while introducing creative updates. Preceding the debut of “Instant Italian,” a new episode of “Rachael Ray in Tuscany” will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FYI.
“Instant Italian” is a Free Food Studios production for A+E Networks. Executive producers for Free Food Studios include Rachael Ray, Brian Flanagan, Anthony Amoia, and Sean Lee. Teri Kennedy and Jordan Harman serve as executive producers for A+E Networks, which holds worldwide distribution rights. The series will be available on demand and for streaming via the FYI App and fyi.tv. It has 12 episodes.
