Anna Lambe and Anya Adams Join Arctic Comedy Series for CBC, Netflix, APTN

Anna Lambe from True Detective, Trickster, The Grizzlies leads a growing cast. Anya Adams from Yellowjackets, Ginny & Georgia, Black-ish to direct first episode of untitled Arctic comedy series.

Anna Lambe and Anya Adams announced for new Arctic comedy series

CBC, Netflix, and APTN have announced the lead cast and director for the new untitled Arctic comedy series, which will consist of 10 episodes. Anna Lambe, known for her work in True Detective, Trickster, and The Grizzlies, has been cast as the young Inuk mother Siaja, while seven-year-old Inuk actress Keira Cooper will be making her screen debut as Siaja’s daughter Bun. Anya Adams, known for her work in Yellowjackets, Ginny & Georgia, and Black-ish, will direct the first episode and serve as the producing director for the series.

The series, scheduled to start filming in Nunavut in 2024, will follow the story of Siaja, a young Inuk mother trying to build a new future for herself in a small Arctic town.

The show is created and written by Inuit writer and producer Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Inuit filmmaker Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, and executive produced alongside Miranda de Pencier. The production partners include Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment.
