“Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” Season 2 Renewal From AMC Networks

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches has been renewed for a second season by AMC Networks. Mayfair Witches, the latest Anne Rice Immortal Universe series on AMC and AMC+, premiered last month to strong audience on AMC and surpassed Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as the network’s most watched new series premiere ever.

The second season is set to begin filming in New Orleans later this year.

In the series a sensitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), finds out that she is the unusual successor to a dynasty of witches in this eight-part series based on Rice’s best-selling trilogy, “Lives of the Mayfair Witches.” She has to deal with a dark force that has followed her family for decades while she learns to control her new abilities. Each week, new episodes premiere on AMC at 9PM on Sundays and may be viewed three days in advance on AMC+.

In addition to Emmy-nominated lead Daddario, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches stars Jack Huston as Lasher, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, and Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, Showrunner Esta Spalding, Writer Michelle Ashford, Director Michael Uppendahl, and Jeff Freilich, and is produced by AMC Studios.
