AMC is continuing to deepen its Anne Rice bench. Celine Buckens and Jason Schwartzman are the latest additions to Anne Rice’s Talamasca, the next installment in AMC Networks’ growing Immortal Universe, slated to debut in October 2025.
Buckens, who earned breakout notice with roles in Showtrial and The Ex-Wife, has been bumped up to series regular. She plays Doris, a coven member with a houseboat mooring and a sharp instinct for the occult.
Joining in a guest turn is Schwartzman, playing Burton, a penthouse-dwelling vampire holed up on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. It’s a high-profile swing for the actor, coming off of buzzy festival roles in Mountainhead and Pavements.
Anne Rice’s Talamasca follows the eponymous secret order tasked with tracking and policing the supernatural—witches, vampires, and the like. It serves as connective tissue across AMC’s Rice-verse, expanding the world built out in Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches.
The cast also includes Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. The series hails from AMC Studios, part of the network’s long-term play to franchise Rice’s literary canon across multiple shows and formats.
