In the Wednesday afternoon episode of Antiques Road Trip, Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan continue their journey, crossing into Suffolk from Kent in a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier. With a budget of £200 each, they scour Manningtree, Copdock, Sproughton, and Marlesford for unique finds to sell at auction in Lichfield, with profits going to Children in Need.
Irita and Ishy’s expedition takes them on a trail of discovery as they unearth a variety of intriguing items. Irita’s find of a vintage metal artist’s palette sparks inspiration, leading them to acquire an Arabic coffee pot, a brass bowl, and a potential treasure—a copper plaque that may be the coveted Newlyn copper.
While Irita and Ishy seek out antiques, they also explore Suffolk’s rich heritage. Ishy visits one of the last remaining tidal mills, witnessing the traditional art of flour-making, while they also indulge in local delicacies, sampling the famous Suffolk cake.
As they travel across Suffolk, Irita and Ishy’s competitive spirits remain high, and the question of who will emerge as the auction champion at the end of this leg of their journey hangs in the air.
