In the latest episode of Antiques Road Trip, Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan embark on their penultimate journey, travelling through Suffolk and Norfolk. With a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier as their trusty mode of transport, they set out with £200 each, ready to uncover hidden gems in antiques, antiquities, and artefacts.
Their journey takes them to various locations, including Yoxford and Panxworth, with additional stops in Blofield and Halesworth. Irita’s eye for unique pieces leads her to an early 20th-century Islamic bowl in Yoxford and a collection of vintage fountain pens in Halesworth. She also stumbles upon a vintage steamer suitcase in Blofield, adding to her intriguing finds.
Meanwhile, Ishy takes a different approach, opting for a Victorian white metal brooch, an art deco coin purse, and a Victorian inkwell. He also makes a unique choice with a gearbox from a fighter jet, showcasing his interest in varied items.
As they travel to Lichfield in the Midlands for the auction, they make a memorable stop at a care farm in Lowestoft. Here, Ishy not only learns about the history and therapeutic benefits of these support networks but also gets up close and personal with alpacas and goats.
