In the sixteenth episode of Antiques Road Trip’s 28th series, Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan set out on a new journey through Kent. Irita, known as the queen of ceramics, and Ishy, the king of jewellery, tackle this trip in a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier. Each equipped with £200 per leg, they set out to spend their money wisely on antiques and curios along the way, with the ultimate goal of being crowned the road trip champion.
Ishy and Irita take different approaches to their antique hunts. Ishy targets a vintage fairground mallet in Appledore, while Irita is captivated by an art deco French-gilded mantel clock. They also explore the fascinating tale of conjoined twins Mary and Eliza Chulkhurst in Biddenden, whose legend inspired the creation of the Biddenden biscuit, a highly collectable item.
As they journey through the Kent countryside, Ishy seeks out local cherries to satisfy his appetite, and their adventures lead them to discover unique collectibles. The excitement builds towards a nail-biting auction, where the first winner of this road trip will be revealed.
