On Tuesday, 20 August 2024, BBC One presents the second leg of a week-long journey with antiques experts Mark Hill and Margie Cooper in Antiques Road Trip. The pair race along the Yorkshire coast, from Bridlington to Pickering, in a 1980 MGB Roadster, each with £200 to spend.
Mark, a glass lover, takes a chance on a Victorian board game from Germany, while silver specialist Margie uncovers some antique cosmetics. Their journey includes a unique experience in Peasholm Park in Scarborough, where they participate in one of the world’s oldest naval battle reenactments.
Beyond their antique hunts, Mark and Margie also enjoy a thrilling ride on the waves. As they approach the auction saleroom in Bolton, one of the experts aims to settle the score. Will their purchases pay off, or will they fall short of their rivals?
