In the latest episode of Antiques Road Trip, mid-century expert Mark Hill and silver specialist Margie Cooper embark on the third leg of their road trip adventure. With £200 each to spend, they deal with breakdowns and the chilly weather of the Yorkshire Moors in a 1980 MGB Roadster, travelling from Darlington to Barnard Castle.
Mark, an expert in mid-century collectibles, is charmed by a unique cast iron sign for a slop water closet, a surprising find given his usual areas of interest. On the other hand, Margie, with her keen eye for silver, makes a rather macabre discovery that could prove to be a valuable addition to their collection.
As they journey across the picturesque yet chilly moors, Mark also looks into the story of John Walker, a Yorkshire chemist who made a remarkable invention while conducting experiments by his fireplace.
Who will come out on top when they reach the auction in Newton?
