In the third episode of Antiques Road Trip, Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton continue their epic antiques battle, this time in the Black Country. With their wits, £200, and the contents of James’s harvest jug as their starting point, the good friends and fierce rivals set out to find the best deals.
James is distracted by sweets as they explore the emporia of the West Midlands, but he also manages to find a famous bird specimen and a noisy antique. Natasha, on the other hand, discovers a macabre curio and some great ceramics. Their journey includes a game of cricket and unexpected encounters with insects.
Natasha also takes a break from the shops to visit one of the largest places of worship in the UK, where she learns about the centuries-old tradition of embroidery and its impact on women from Punjab in the British textile industry. She even tries her hand at sewing.
Who will come out on top at the auction?
