Antiques Road Trip returns for a new series, with experts Margie Cooper and Mark Hill competing as they travel from Yorkshire to Edinburgh. They each have £200 to spend and will bid to win auctions, with the goal of being this ‘best-of-five’ challenge’s ultimate winner.
In the first episode, Cooper and Hill set off in a 1980 MGB Roadster, exploring South Yorkshire for hidden gems. Mark is interested in pencil-related collectibles, while Margie seeks equestrian antiques and art deco pieces.
Margie discovers an art deco gas heater, and she also encounters parakeets. In contrast, Mark purchases a unique antique that he believes will be valuable in the future.
The duo uncovers Dewsbury’s musical heritage as they journey through the town, and Margie surprises Mark with a performance.
