In the second episode of this weeks Antiques Road Trip, Tim Medhurst and Hettie Jago continue their antique adventures as they explore Surrey, known for its lush woodlands. With £200 each to spend, the pair are ready to make some interesting choices.
Tim, a dealer with a keen eye for coins, and Hettie, an auctioneer drawn to jewellery, navigate their way through Surrey in a white replica Jaguar. Their journey begins in Ashtead, Mole Valley, where they seek out unique finds. Tim goes for some classic choices, selecting a plaster bust and salt-glazed Toby jugs. Hettie, on the other hand, opts for more delicate pieces, choosing an Italian gilt box and a graceful brass dancing figure.
The episode also takes them to Brooklands, a former racing circuit with a significant aviation history. Here, they continue their search for treasures, each hoping to come out on top in the second auction of their best-of-five contest.
