Apple TV+ Announces May Premiere for “Platonic,” a New Comedy Starring Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen

Apple TV+ has shared the release date and provided a sneak peek of “Platonic,” a 10-episode comedy show featuring and executive produced by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco co-created, directed, and co-wrote the half-hour comedy. The show is set to debut worldwide on Apple TV+ on May 24, 2023, with the first three episodes and the rest airing every Wednesday thereafter.

The story of “Platonic” revolves around Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, a pair of platonic former best friends approaching midlife. The duo eventually reunites after a long gap, eventually causing their friendship to take a chaotic turn. Tre Hale, Luke Macfarlane, Carla Gallo, and Andrew Lopez are also part of the cast.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the program is executive produced by Rogen, Byrne, Stoller, Delbanco, and Conor Welch. Stoller’s Global Solutions and Sony Pictures Television have a total agreement for the program.
