Apple TV+ Announces New Series ‘Widow’s Bay’

Apple TV+ has revealed its latest addition to its original programming with the announcement of Widow’s Bay, a 10-part series created by Katie Dippold. Dippold, known for her writing credits on The Heat, Parks and Recreation, and Ghostbusters, will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The series will be directed by Emmy Award-winner Hiro Murai, who has established himself with his work on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The Bear, and Atlanta. Murai will also take on a producing role, joining Claudia Shin and Carver Karaszewski.

Widow’s Bay is set on a mysterious New England island, where a superstitious community lives under a dark curse. The story centres around the town’s mayor, who remains sceptical of the island’s supernatural reputation, despite the warnings of its residents.

The show is produced by Apple Studios for Apple TV+. Executive producers are Katie Dippold, Hiro Murai, Claudia Shin, and Carver Karaszewski.
