Apple TV+ Sets August 14 Premiere Date for Bad Monkey

Apple TV+ has announced that its upcoming comedy series Bad Monkey, based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen, will premiere on August 14, 2024. The first two episodes will be available to stream from this date, with new episodes released weekly on Wednesdays thereafter until October 9, 2024.

The series stars Vince Vaughn as Andrew Yancy, a demoted former Miami Police detective who now works as a restaurant inspector. When a human arm is discovered by tourists, Yancy sees an opportunity to reclaim his detective position if he can solve the case. However, he must navigate a cast of eccentric characters and a “bad monkey” to succeed.

Bad Monkey boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, and Jodie Turner-Smith. John Ortiz will appear as a special guest star, with Zach Braff and Charlotte Lawrence making guest appearances.

The series was filmed in the Florida Keys and Miami, Florida, with locations including Duval Street, Key West.
