Apple TV+’s bilingual comedy series Acapulco, starring Emmy and SAG Award-winning actor Eugenio Derbez, has been renewed for a fourth season, set to air in 2025.
The series has received acclaim for its feel-good vibe and visually stunning production as well as nine Imagen Award nominations this year, including Best Comedy, acting nominations for Derbez and his ensemble cast members, and recognition for its music supervision.
The recently concluded third season explored themes of past mistakes and new beginnings, with the narrative moving between the present, where an older Máximo (Derbez) returns to a changed Las Colinas, and the past, following a younger Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) as he climbs the ladder of success while navigating relationships.
The show’s ensemble cast includes Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Camila Perez, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reynoso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Chord Overstreet, Rafael Cebrián, Regina Orozco, and Carlos Corona. Special guest stars in season three included Jaime Camil and Cristo Fernández.
Acapulco is produced by Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions, and the Tannenbaum Company. Executive producers include Eugenio Derbez, Ben Odell, Austin Winsberg, Sam Laybourne, Kim Tannenbaum, Eric Tannenbaum, Jason Wang, Jaime Eliezer Karas, and Sonia Gambaro.
