Apple TV+’s “Criminal Record” – Sneak Peek of Crime Thriller Series with Peter Capaldi & Cush Jumbo

Apple TV+ has unveiled a sneak peek of its upcoming crime thriller series, “Criminal Record,” starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo as detectives embroiled in a high-profile murder case. Created by Paul Rutman, the eight-episode show will debut globally on Apple TV+ on January 12, 2024, with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases until February 23.
Set in modern-day London, “Criminal Record” is a character-focused drama that delves into themes of race, institutional failure, and the pursuit of common ground in a divided Britain. The story unfolds when an anonymous phone call brings together two brilliant detectives, Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty (played by Peter Capaldi) and Detective Sergeant June Lenker (played by Cush Jumbo), who find themselves at odds over an old murder case.

Joining Capaldi and Jumbo in the cast are Charlie Creed-Miles, Dionne Brown, Shaun Dooley, Stephen Campbell Moore, Zoë Wanamaker, Rasaq Kukoyi, Maisie Ayres, Aysha Kala, Cathy Tyson, and Tom Moutchi.
Produced by Tod Productions and STV Studios, the series is executive produced by Elaine Collins, Paul Rutman, Peter Capaldi, and Cush Jumbo. Jim Loach and Shaun James Grant direct the series.
