Apple TV+’s Paranormal Documentary “The Enfield Poltergeist” Premieres October 27

Apple TV+ has announced the upcoming October release of “The Enfield Poltergeist,” a four-part documentary series that delves into the infamous and spine-tingling poltergeist haunting that took place in Enfield, London in 1977. This haunting garnered widespread attention in the United Kingdom and left a lasting impact on an entire generation.

This genre-defying series combines over 250 hours of rare audio recordings with meticulous recreations of the haunted setting and original interviews with those directly affected by the supernatural events to examine the enduring fascination with the unexplained and the profound effects it can have on those who experience it. All four episodes will be released globally on Friday, October 27.
By showing that ordinary people in any setting can experience paranormal activity, “The Enfield Poltergeist” dispelled the common belief that only the wealthy and powerful were vulnerable to the supernatural. There have even been fictional adaptations of the story, such as the hit movie “The Conjuring 2,” a TV series, and two plays.
Using authentic audio recordings painstakingly gathered by renowned paranormal investigator Maurice Grosse, the series expertly reconstructs the Enfield haunting across its four episodes. Actors perform in a set designed to look like the original house, bringing the eerie events from the tapes to life through a combination of archival voices and contemporary interviews with people who were there at the time.
Produced for Apple TV+ by MetFilm and Concordia Studio, the team behind the highly acclaimed “STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie,” which received numerous Emmy nominations this year, “The Enfield Poltergeist” is helmed by director Jerry Rothwell. The executive producers include Al Morrow, BAFTA winner Stewart le Maréchal, Oscar Award-winning Davis Guggenheim, Jonathan Silberberg, and Nicole Stott.
