Apple’s TV’s “Slow Horses” Season 3 Premieres November 29

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the highly anticipated third season of “Slow Horses,” the critically acclaimed espionage drama. The series stars Academy Award winner Gary Oldman and is based on the third novel in the Mick Herron spy series “Slough House.” The third season will consist of six episodes and will premiere on November 29, with the first two episodes being released, followed by one new episode every Wednesday until December 27.

“Slow Horses” has been recognized for its excellence, winning the Best English-Language Drama Series at the 2022 C21 International Drama Awards. The show follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who work in a department known as Slough House, which is considered a dumping ground for MI5. The series combines dark humor with espionage, providing a unique and entertaining viewing experience.

In the upcoming season, a romantic relationship in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London. Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, and his team of misfits find themselves caught in a conspiracy that not only endangers Slough House but also MI5 itself. The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, and Jonathan Pryce.

The series is produced by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith. The executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Will Smith, Jane Robertson, and Graham Yost. Season three is directed by Saul Metzstein.

“Slow Horses” has already received recognition in the form of BAFTA Television Award nominations. Gary Oldman received his first nomination for Best Lead Actor, while Jack Lowden was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The series has also been nominated for Best Editing, Best Original Music, and Best Sound.

For fans who want to catch up on the series, the first two seasons of “Slow Horses” are currently available for streaming on Apple TV+. Additionally, Apple TV+ has announced that a fourth season is in the works, which will be based on the fourth novel in the series, “Spook Street.”
