AMC+ has set a U.S. premiere date for The Assassin, a new six-episode thriller starring Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore. The series will debut exclusively on the streaming service on Thursday, November 20, with new episodes released weekly. The show comes from creators Harry and Jack Williams, the brothers behind Fleabag and The Tourist.

Hawes has been cast as Julie, a retired assassin who has spent the last decade living a solitary life on a remote Greek island to escape her violent past. Her quiet existence is shattered when her estranged son Edward (Highmore) arrives with questions about his paternity. Before they can resolve their issues, Julie’s past catches up to her in a deadly way.
