There will be one standout player in the upcoming season of Australian Survivor: Heroes V Villains. Rogue, a filmmaker and animal activist, is an outspoken supporter of lion conservation efforts.
Six years of undercover work making a documentary on poachers and trophy hunters in Africa have given Rogue a unique perspective on human nature, which she believes will give her an advantage.
“I’m perfect to play this game because I find people absolutely fascinating,” says Rogue. “I know that the heart of everything comes down to the person, their reasons, their motivations, and their tiny nuances of how they speak, look, react. It’s always a lot more about listening than it is about talking.”
Not only is Rogue determined to win the game, but she also hopes her experience and work will inspire other young women to feel capable of making a difference.
“Why would you ever want to be a Villain? Someone who has done something heroic should win it,” says Rogue. “I think being with a bunch of strangers is exciting to meet and interact with people I would never normally have the opportunity to know. What amazing stories and experiences we might share.”
Australian Survivor: Heroes V Villains premieres Monday 30 January 2023 on Channel 10 and 10 Play.
