Joe Washington’s brief taste of victory turns bitter in “Prisoners,” as Average Joe continues its descent into a pressure cooker of anxieties. Having briefly outsmarted his pursuers, Joe (Deon Cole) finds the ground shifting beneath him once more, his precarious situation spiraling into even greater danger. This week, the stakes become deeply personal, with Angela Washington’s (Tammy Townsend) life hanging precariously in the balance.
With time running out, Joe attempts a desperate gamble, proposing a risky trade with the formidable Nicolai Dzhugashvili (Pasha Lychnikoff). But can a deal with the devil ever truly pay off? Meanwhile, Leon’s (Malcolm Barrett) loyalties are tested, forcing him into a corner and hinting at potential cracks in Joe’s already fragile support system. A planned meeting goes sideways, adding another layer of complications to Joe’s increasingly messy predicament. And in a confrontation that’s been brewing for weeks, Pam (Ashani Roberts) finally faces off against the menacing Touch (Michael Trucco).
