HGTV is set to premiere a new spin-off series, Bargain Block New Orleans, on Wednesday, October 9, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Renovation experts and partners Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas, known for their work on the popular series Bargain Block, will take on a new challenge in the vibrant city of New Orleans.
In this five-episode season, Keith and Evan will tackle the unfamiliar real estate market of New Orleans, aiming to restore dilapidated houses and revitalize neighbourhoods. They will buy the most run-down homes on a block and completely renovate them, incorporating New Orleans’ unique architectural elements like wrought iron railings, arched doorways, and corbel accents.
The series premiere features a challenging project: a Seventh Ward double with foundation issues, a terrible floor plan, and a bee infestation. Keith and Evan seek advice from Detroit real estate expert Shea Hicks-Whitfield, adding a second story and converting one side into a rental while preserving the home’s historical charm.
Throughout the season, Keith and Evan immerse themselves in New Orleans’ culture, from Mardi Gras parades to crawfish boils, and even consult a fortune teller.
Bargain Block New Orleans is produced by High Noon Entertainment.
