Bargain Hunt takes a trip back in time to the 1970s in its upcoming episode, offering viewers a groovy journey through vintage treasures and funky finds. This episode, titled “Hemswell 10,” airs on BBC One on Friday, 19 April 2024.
In this time-bending instalment, presenter Eric Knowles steps into the vibrant world of Lincolnshire local Simone Radley, who has passionately dedicated herself to refurbishing her house with hip decor and furnishings from the disco era. Radley’s commitment to recapturing the essence of the 1970s is impressive as she showcases her one-of-a-kind home.
Shifting gears to the Hemswell antiques centre, the reds and blues are all set for their own groovy adventure. Musical buddies Ivor and Joe, guided by expert Catherine Southon, take on the challenge of hunting for items from the 1970s or 1980s. Their mission? To make some far-out profits, of course! Meanwhile, friends Luke and Ellis, accompanied by expert Mark Stacey, are on a quest to find treasures from the 1950s or 1960s, adding a retro twist to their buying strategy.
As the teams scour the antiques centre for items that will catch the eye of auctioneer Colin Young in North Hykeham, they’ll need to rely on their knowledge, bargaining skills, and a bit of luck to come out on top. With the guidance of their respective experts, the reds and blues will navigate the tricky world of antiques, hoping to secure profits that are out of this world.
