The thrill of the hunt and the drama of the auction collide once again in “Bargain Hunt.” This Friday, the action takes place in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, where Charlie Ross presides over the usual mix of quirky finds and competitive shopping. Two teams race against the clock to snag the best antique bargains, guided by their respective experts, each hoping to find hidden treasures and avoid auction flops.
Expert Caroline Hawley assists students Molly and Anya with a challenge to find a beautifully hand-decorated item. Meanwhile, David Fergus leads the blue team – friends Brian and Ben – on a quest for a remote-controlled pond yacht. Because “Bargain Hunt” wouldn’t be complete without a touch of mystery, Charlie presents viewers with a mystery object, offering a chance to test their antique knowledge before the big reveal.
After the shopping spree, the teams journey to Colin Young’s auction house in Bourne, Lincolnshire, where the real test begins. Will their carefully chosen items bring profit or pain? And what about the bonus buys? “Bargain Hunt” airs Friday, 9 May at 12:15 PM GMT on BBC One.
