The trusty steed of daytime TV, Bargain Hunt, clip-clops into Long Marston, Warwickshire, this Monday at 12:15 PM on BBC One. In this outing from Series 67, the usual two teams are set loose in an antiques center, armed with £300 and an hour to unearth three potential gems. While the hunt is on for profit, presenter Christina Trevanion takes a detour into a different kind of passion, visiting a collector in Uttoxeter whose home has become—shall we say—a museum of acquisition.
Expert David Harper steers the red team, ever the wheeler-dealer, always nudging for an extra few quid off already low prices. Meanwhile, the blue team, under the guidance of Danny Sebastian, seems to be wrestling with the very concept of time itself, their shopping spree hampered by an apparent inability to clock-watch. The ticking seconds only add fuel to the Bargain Hunt furnace, though whether they manage to snag a treasure before the buzzer remains anyone’s guess.
Bargain Hunt airs Monday, 2 June at 12:15 PM on BBC One.
