BBC One’s “Bargain Hunt” rolls into Newark, Nottinghamshire, this Monday, with another round of antique adventures and friendly competition. Host Eric Knowles presides over the proceedings as two teams of friends try to outsmart each other in the pursuit of hidden treasures. Their mission: find undervalued items and flip them for a profit at auction.
The Red team, composed of Nick and Dave, gets expert guidance from Raj Bisram, while Izzie Balmer lends her expertise to the Blue team, Jamie and Michael (affectionately dubbed “Jam-Michael”). As always, the teams have just £300 and one hour to track down their potential money-makers.
This episode features the usual mix of quirky finds and strategic haggling. Will the Red team’s gamble on a miner’s lamp and a souvenir plate pay off? Or will the Blue team’s choice of a tantalus and a brass light shine brighter at the auction? Adding to the fun, antiques expert David Harper, resplendent in his trademark vibrant trousers, shares some curios from his personal collection.
The ultimate test comes at the auction, held by Richard Winterton in Lichfield. Will profits bloom or will someone be left feeling the sting of a bad bargain? Tune in to BBC One on Monday, April 7th at 12:15 PM to find out.
