On Thursday’s episode of “Bargain-Loving Brits in the Sun,” tour guide Gill Bird, a 62-year-old Lancashire transplant, leads a group to the El Torcal mountains, ostensibly to observe Alaskan wolves and mountain goats at the Lobo Wolf Park. One can only hope the wolves are more entertained than the viewers are likely to be.
Meanwhile, expats Carl and Maria Wilson attempt to host a Curry Club at their Alicante villa. Carl, naturally, is under immense pressure to deliver culinary delights. Given the show’s track record, expect burnt naan bread and some passive-aggressive comments about the spiciness of the vindaloo.
Finally, 72-year-old Roy, president of his local fishing club, participates in a prestigious pairs tournament. Will he triumph, or will his dreams of angling glory be dashed against the rocks of fierce competition? More importantly, will he catch anything bigger than a sardine?
Tune in to Channel 5 on Thursday, 9 January, 2025, at 4:00 PM to witness the ongoing saga of Brits abroad.
