This episode of Bargain Loving Brits takes us to Spain, where we meet sisters Annabelle and Amelia, who left Tunbridge Wells four years ago with their parents, Claire and Matt, to start a new life. The sisters have embraced entrepreneurship by opening a boutique clothing shop in Mijas a year ago.
To celebrate their parents’ 30th wedding anniversary, they’ve planned a fun-filled day, including a cable car ride. But will their mum, Claire, who is terrified of heights, overcome her fears and enjoy the day?
The episode also introduces us to 75-year-old Maria, a Brummie who moved to the Costa’s with her husband, Carl, 23 years ago. Maria’s life took an unexpected turn in 2010 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since her treatment, she has dedicated her time to raising awareness and funds for early detection charities. We join her as she hosts a fundraiser, hoping to raise a thousand euros, but will she succeed without her usual supporter, her husband Carl, by her side?
Meanwhile, Kentish-born Andy has traded his life in the UK for a new beginning in Spain. Along with his wife, Sam, and their three children, he relocated in 2020 and identified a business opportunity in car rentals. Now, he and Sam run a successful mechanics garage, car rental, and airport transfers business, all while finding time to enjoy the Spanish lifestyle.
