In this episode of Bargain Loving Brits, we meet Simon Dearing, a 54-year-old bar owner who has a unique fundraising idea. Simon has been running a weekly quiz at his bar for five and a half years, raising an impressive 45,000 euros for local charities.
Today, however, Simon is mixing things up. He has planned a topless calendar featuring some of his fuller-figured patrons, proudly displaying their beer bellies. But when his models fail to show up for the photo shoot, Simon must think quickly to save the day.
The episode also follows music teacher Lorraine and her husband, Gus, who left the countryside of Kent behind and moved to rural Spain seven and a half years ago. The active couple recently had a disappointing 13th wedding anniversary meal, so they decide to celebrate again with a hike to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, followed by a curry at their local restaurant.
We also catch up with 32-year-old florist Laura and her husband, Lee, aged 45, in Alicante province. With three young sons under three years old, four dogs, and a floristry business to run, their days are busy and start early. We join them on the school run before they dive into a day of creating beautiful bouquets and tidying up stems.
