In the ninth episode of this thirteenth season of Bargain Loving Brits, we join 39-year-old DJ Jessie, originally from Essex, who has a big day ahead of her. Jessie has spent the last eight weeks selling tickets for today’s highly anticipated rooftop pool party, and she is determined to make it a success.
With 200 guests expected, Jessie is organizing the Benidorm Pride opening party for the first time, hoping to kick things off with a mix of upbeat acts and pumping tracks. However, when the poolside audio system malfunctions, will Jessie’s opening extravaganza be a splash or a belly flop?
Meanwhile, in Costa Del Sol, bar manager Shane prepares for another Friday night, usually their busiest time. But with rain pouring down and partner Chrissy unwell, will the expected crowd of dabber devotees turn up for bingo? On top of that, Shane has to rely on kitchen helper Brenda to handle the orders if they do come in.
Inland, away from the tourist bars and beaches, we find Jill, who has been running an animal rescue center for the past 16 years. Jill’s focus is on caring for abandoned and mistreated horses, ponies, and donkeys. Today, she receives a visit from the vet and also works to improve a small pony’s attitude in hopes of finding it a permanent home.
Artist Julia, who moved to Spain nine years ago, has discovered a passion for creating artwork using found objects and organic materials. She presents her latest wire sculptures to local gallery curator Monica, who promotes 15-20 local artists each month. With competition for wall space intense, will Julia’s wire work capture Monica’s interest?
