Peacock has released a first look at the second season of the comedic thriller “Based on a True Story,” starring Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, and Liana Liberato. All eight episodes of the new season will premiere exclusively on Peacock on 21 November 2024.
Showrunner and executive producer Annie Weisman expressed her excitement about the new season, praising the blend of dark humor, action, and relatable characters that attracted her to the show as a fan of Cuoco and Messina. Weisman teases a season that builds on these elements while introducing new character dynamics and a compelling murder mystery.
This season resumes with Ava and Nathan Bartlett facing the challenges of new parenthood. While Ava attempts to focus on her family and her work as a real estate agent, she becomes entangled in the world of true crime once more when a series of murders emerge. The question remains: Is Matt, Tory’s entangled love interest, responsible for these killings?
