Mealtime mayhem. Supermarket sweepstakes 50 times a month. A weekly food bill that could fund a small island nation. The Powell family of Hull clearly has some dinnertime dilemmas. Enter Joe Swash and Suzanne Mulholland, aka The Batch Lady, ready to transform their chaotic kitchen into a haven of batch-cooking bliss.
The Powells, who currently spend £250 a week on groceries, are about to get a serious lesson in meal prepping. Mulholland takes charge, revamping their kitchen and sharing recipes for family-friendly favorites like lasagna, Spanish stew, and chicken korma – all designed to be made in bulk and reheated with minimal fuss. She also arms them with supermarket shopping strategies to help cut costs and, hopefully, reduce those grocery store expeditions.
Will the Powells embrace their new batch-cooking routine? Or will they revert to their old ways of takeaway temptations and last-minute supermarket dashes? Tune in to Channel 4 at 8:30 PM on Monday to find out if this family can finally achieve dinnertime harmony.
