BBC Announces Summer of Classic and Contemporary Detective and Crime Dramas

The BBC is offering a summer treat for fans of detective and crime dramas, with a season dedicated to the best of the genre from across six decades. Launching on June 12 on BBC Four and BBC iPlayer, the season will feature new episodes weekly, showcasing 17 titles from classics to contemporary favourites.

The line-up includes legendary shows such as “Law & Order,” “Dalziel and Pascoe,” “Life on Mars,” “Line of Duty,” “Happy Valley,” and “Luther.” Many episodes will be introduced by key cast members and creatives, providing fresh insights and memories.

Kicking off the season is “Death in Paradise,” introduced by writer Tony Jordan and original cast member Don Warrington. All 107 episodes of the popular drama will be available to binge-watch on BBC iPlayer.
